Why this matters
Making art is joyful—but it’s also expensive. The Bursary Project exists to reduce the financial friction that can stall a creative practice, so more artists can keep showing up to their work and sharing it with the world.
What the bursary helps cover
Materials + tools
Paper, blades, adhesives, paints, specialty supplies, and the tools that make experimentation possible.
Production costs
Printing, scanning, packaging, and the behind-the-scenes costs of turning art into shareable work.
Shipping + studio support
Postage, protective mailers, and help toward space/time so artists can stay consistent.
How recipients are chosen
A voting panel: sponsors + guest judges
Recipients will be selected by a mixed voting panel made up of sponsors and guest judges. As the project grows, we’ll share clear details on how support is collected and how recipients are selected.
